Why WD?

William Douglas O'Rear was a friend, mentor, business associate, and advisor to me for over 20 years. When Doug passed in July of 2020, naming the business WD to honor him just made sense.

Who am I?

My name is Matthew C. Ribble, and I enjoy helping people pursue their financial goals. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Tennessee is my home. I currently reside in Fairview, TN with my wife (Tessa) and three children. We have two dogs, Daisy and Buddy. We spent our first 20 years year in Tennessee in Nashville, but made the move out to Fairview after my wife and I fell in love with the community and area.

I have been married to my wife for 20+ years. Tessa is an elementary school teacher here in Fairview and is very passionate about it. She loves teaching and the kids. We have three children, Rosemary (Rosie, 19), Henry (17), and Louis (Louie, 13). We spend our time together traveling and supporting our kids in their academics and extracurriculars. Louie in particular has been outstanding in baseball!

I also have a passion for the sport of wrestling, as I am a former wrestler and current coach. I have throughly enjoyed my time, and time to come, with the Fairview Yellow Jacket Youth Wrestling Club.

Professionally, I have been in the industry for 25 years, and am current with my licenses Series 6, Series 63, Series 66, Series 7 and SIE. I am registered in 23 states and carry my Life and Health License in TN.
